Because AMS routes are determined by rider demand, all rides must be scheduled in advance. The driver may need to make several stops on the route, so plan for your trip to take more time than it would if you were driving there by car.

Due to the likelihood that demand exceeds capacity, AMS is currently utilizing a wait list to bring on new riders. Turnaround time from wait list status to rider status may be as short as 12 hours, or wait time could be longer, depending on the pick-up and drop-off location, time of service, etc. Call the AMS office at (269) 441-5387 to get on the wait list and/or schedule rides.

Rider Information

Please be prepared to board the vehicle at the designated pickup time and location. Because pick up and drop off times are impacted by every rider, AMS must limit wait time at pickup. Drivers will wait up to 1 minute for riders to board. If the rider does not board within the allotted wait time, the driver will continue to the next stop on the schedule route. Wait time may be extended for passengers utilizing wheelchairs and/or with mobility challenges. Arrangements for extended wait time must be made in advance, during the ride scheduling call. 

To ensure a safe and comfortable trip, AMS requires all riders to follow our Rider Commitments. Please review the Rider Commitments prior to scheduling your ride.

Payment

All fares for rides must be paid for in advance. Payment arrangements will be determined during your call with the AMS team.

Vehicle Information

AMS vehicles are clearly marked and equipped with cameras for safety. All AMS drivers will be in uniform and wearing an AMS ID badge. All drivers are also trained in First Aid/CPR/AED, passenger safety, and equity, diversity and inclusion.
